Submissions

The Armenite accepts submissions, and we are always looking for well-written pieces, new or translated literature, photography, video, and pitches for great stories.

What we look for

Stories, articles and opinion. Well-written journalistic pieces about history, culture, politics and society that have not been published elsewhere. We are interested in different perspectives, unique angles and novel stories that are sharply written. Please read some of our work first to get a feel for our style. Everything must relate somehow to the Armenian world. There is no guarantee that your piece will be published, but whatever happens, we appreciate you thinking of us.

Literature. Original work by contemporary Armenian writers, poets and playwrights on any subject; non-Armenians writing about the Armenian world; and original translations of Armenian literature. Please make sure a translated work is not bound by copyright.

Photography and video. Original photography and video relating to Armenians or Armenia that has not been published elsewhere.

Pitches. If you have a great idea for a story, we would be happy to hear it.

You can make as many submissions as you like. We may not be able to respond to every one, but we are thankful for your interest in being published by The Armenite.
